Collecting Scotties

The popularity of Scottie Dogs I think is due to FDR's beloved Scottie Fala.  You really start to see the Scottie dog image incorporated into many different items, household and otherwise during FDR's presidency. I have been collecting Scottie related items for about 14 years. I never know what I will find that will have a Scottie on it! 

As you can see, the Scottie has shown up on everything from Banks to Cigarette Holders and Avon bottles.  The Steiff Scottie with glass eyes is one of my favorite items (a birthday present from Harry)that I have and  the hand-made quilt is a favorite as well.  This is just a small sample of what I have.  I am always looking for something with a Scottie dog on it when I am shopping.  My most prized possesion though is undoubtedly my baby Henry......

He is the best thing and the MOST Prized of my collection :)

Long Winters Nap ---- well sort of.

This is what it looks like here this morning...typical winters day...perfect for a long winters' nap.My Scottish Terrier Henry is way ahead of me, he knows how to nap and he has it down to an art form...he really should have his Ph.D. in napping....yes, he REALLY is that good.Sophie on the other hand would much rather play than nap.... and she is not going to put up with Henry having a nap either....She starts out innocently enough... she just wants to lay beside him...you know to keep him company...I mean look at this face.....it is PURE INNOCENCE.....Innocent my Paw! She is the spawn of the Devil....the bane of my existence!!!!!She moves in a little closer, there is no way she is going to let this winters' nap continue....Henry try to play it cool and aloof, he is having none of her attentions.....Please, please, please play with me!!!!! Pretty Please?????Put me out of my misery NOW, Please I beg of you!!!!!.... and after all that, a decision in favor of Henry was reached....I told you he was good!!!!!

Shop update Has Gone to the Dogs

Well... if things have gone to the dogs, you may as well do it up Cute and Charming, as exemplified by some new things in the shop :)
